‘Les Miserables’ staged at Parker proves inspiring
An absolutely outstanding presentation of “Les Miserables” was staged July 18-21 at Parker High School by local and area students!
This is my wife’s and my favorite musical—we’ve seen it nine times. When the line “To love another person is to see the face of God” sums up the whole production in the last scene, tears were flowing freely, as they always are.
We were a little skeptical that a school group could do this musical justice, but we needn’t have worried. All the voices (big and small) were wonderful; the staging excellent; the sound, the lighting, the costuming—all professional and satisfying.
This is another wonderful example of what the performing arts can add to the life of audience members and to the culture of a community! Thanks to everyone who played roles in this endeavor. We look forward to your next production with excitement!
