— If you’re thinking about building a home or renovating the one you have, you’ll want to attend the Lakeland Builders Association Parade of Homes. The parade will be held over two weekends: July 27-28 and Aug. 3-4. Ten homes will be available for touring.

“Where else can you see this many homes for just a few dollars?” asks Anthony Perry, chairman of this year’s Parade of Homes. “For just a few dollars, you can see homes that cost thousands, maybe into the millions to build.”

There’s more than one highlight on this year’s parade, according to Karen Branfort, executive officer for the LBA.

“It’s really exciting. The homes are of all sizes, from 1,600 square feet on up. There’s one that has more than 9,000 square feet,” she said. “While that’s more than most of us will have, it’s fun to see all the features on a house like that.”
