Lemirande drafted by Youngstown
JANESVILLE Janesville's Conor Lemirande was drafted with the 114th pick overall (eighth round) by the Youngstown Phantoms in the recent United States Hockey League Phase 2 Draft.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound forward played the last two seasons with the Janesville Jets, including serving as captain this past season. He had 21 points on nine goals and 12 assists in the 2012-13 season and last week won the NAHL's prestigious Messier Project Leadership Award.
Jets goalie Brock Kautz was drafted 72nd overall by the Tri-City Storm.
