The event, organized by the Milton Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, is part of a full weekend of holiday shopping and activities. Residents can buy a ticket to tour five well-known Milton homes, which will be decorated for the holidays. Some of the houses are considered historic Milton homes, and most are within easy walking distance of each other.

This year, some proceeds from the walk will benefit the planned splash park in Goodrich Park.

Here’s a glance at the houses in this year’s walk:

502 E. Madison Ave.

Owners: Craig & Pam Thomas

Details: The one-time home of Darwin Maxon, a firebrand abolitionist and Seventh Day Baptist, this home was built in 1870 with cream city brick and was later owned by Kenneth Babcock.

442 E. Madison Ave.

Owners: Ryan & Kristin Koenig

Details: This white, two-story colonial-style home was built in 1890. Home to the Koenigs since 2010, the residence has been updated—but it still has original stained glass windows and other features.

413 Plumb St.

Owners: Michelle & Jeff Lemke

Details: This two-story home was built 1880, but the Lemkes have lived there since 1996. Original built-in fixtures in the home will be accented with holiday décor.

40 Windsor Court

Owner: Pam Brock

Details: This newer construction ranch-style farmette blends contemporary with a dash of pastoral. Built in 1987, the home has custom cabinetry and tile work. Outside, it’s a slice of rural life in the city with sheep and horses on the property.

Whitford Hall, 525 College St.

Owner: Eric Stockman & Katy Staab

Details: Built in 1909 and once the library and science building for the now-defunct Milton College, the revival-style Whitford Hall was renovated in 2010. It now houses Extreme Fitness Center and is home to Stockman, Staab and their children.
