Danny Supernaw rushed 120 yards on 11 carries and threw two touchdown passes to help Delavan-Darien High School’s football team to a 34-7 nonconference opening win Friday night at Whitewater.

Supernaw hit Marcus Hudson with a 16-yard scoring pass, and David Figueroa with a 14-yard TD pass as the defending Southern Lakes Conference champions got off to a fast start.

Hudson also returned an interception 56 yards for a score. Justin Held added two rushing touchdowns of 3 and 1 yards for the Comets.

Bryan Edwards led the Whippets with 111 yards on 29 carries. Jack Bullis hit Lyle Hollinshead with a 6-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter for Whitewater’s only touchdown.

Chris Walker scored both Badger touchdowns on runs of 4 and 20 yards. He finished with 59 yards on eight carries.

Peter Krien rushed 16 times for 76 yards for the Badgers.

Cody Novotny threw three TD passes for the Indians.
