Conner Bowen had a three-run homer to open the scoring, and Nick Blomgren pitched five shutout innings to lead the Janesville 14s to an 11-2 victory over Bay Port in the Babe Ruth state tournament at Green Bay.
Janesville plays Eau Claire at 4 p.m. today in a matchup of undefeated teams in the double-elimination tournament.
Bowen's blast scored Brennan Olin and McCauley Cox ahead of him in the third.
Cox contributed a three-run double in the four-run seventh inning.
Bowen finished 3-for-5, while Alex Faust went
Blomgren struck out six in five innings before leaving due to a team-issued pitch count.

Erik Woelfle hit a pair of two-run singles, and Connor Perkins struck out 12 and walked just two to help Janesville defeat Windsor, 12-5, in the state Babe Ruth 13-year-old tournament in Eau Claire on Thursday.
Windsor scored all five of its runs in the first inning.
Janesville plays Eau Claire at 6 p.m. today. The teams are the last two with undefeated records in the double-elimination tournament.

Janesville was eliminated from the 15s State Babe Ruth tournament at Sauk City when it dropped a
9-3 decision to Ashwaubenon on Thursday.
Ashwaubenon won the 14s state tournament title last year and had 16 hits in Thursday's victory.
"They are a good, strong team," said Janesville coach Bob Getka. "They hit the ball hard."
Janesville's Collin Powers doubled and scored in the fourth inning. Mitch Benway added an RBI single in the seventh inning.

The Janesville 9-year-old all-star squad opens play today in the Cal Ripken Ohio Valley Regional at
St. John, Ind.
Janesville, the Wisconsin state champion, is scheduled to play Southern Indiana at 2 p.m.
The team's second game is at 8 p.m. Saturday against Ohio. Janesville's third game is 2 p.m. Sunday against Western Kentucky.
