MILTON—The Wisconsin School Public Relations Association awarded the Milton School District with a Spectrum Award of Excellence for its work in school communications, according to a district news release.

The district earned the award at a recent annual conference in Stevens Point for “creating a culture of communication” with its social media integration, new website and 1:1 technology integration, according to the release.

Spectrum Awards honor Wisconsin school districts' public relations efforts. The statewide competition recognized 25 districts with awards this year, according to the release.

“Spectrum Award winners exemplify the very best communications work in school districts across the state,” said Kevin Hickman, association president. “The winners demonstrate the value of engaging stakeholders in order to build community support for Wisconsin's public schools.
