Cheryl L. Kreger, age 55, of Janesville, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014, into God’s loving arms, with her fiancé and family by her side. She was born in Janesville, on Aug. 27, 1958, the daughter of Willis R. and Alice J. (Heitsman) Kreger. She lived most of her life in Janesville, and after graduation, she continued her education at Griffin Tech (GA) and Blackhawk Technical College. Cheryl first studied accounting and later took an interest in medical administration. She became a lifelong student with a thirst for knowledge and an appreciation for education. She was employed through the years with Accudyne Corp, Jumbo’s Pub, Chambers and Owen, General Motors, and most recently with D & R Properties. She was a member of the Midwest Christian Center and a volunteer for Mercy Health System. Cheryl enjoyed traveling, spontaneous weekend getaways, dancing, shopping, school and helping the less fortunate. Giving to those who had less warmed her heart and tells the story of who she was. She cherished her family and her life. She will be remembered as a compassionate, soft spoken, genuinely beautiful person. She had a heart of gold that glistened through her smile, always whispering I love you and embracing you with a hug. She left us with beautiful memories.

Cheryl is survived by her fiancé, Heath Smith; daughter, Crystal (Tony) Thiele; three grandchildren: Brett Thiele, Jessida Prinkey, and Aereal (Adam) Gallien; two great-grandchildren, Xavier and Sebastian; her mother, Alice Austin; four sisters: Rosaline (David) Voegeli, April (Bill) Hassinger, Laurie (Johnny) Miller, and Georgien (Josh) Dudzek; six brothers: Alan Kreger, Willis Kreger, Matthew (Tammy) Kreger, Luke Kreger, Mark Johnson, and Jeff (Misty) Johnson; special aunt and uncle, Mike and Deb Johnson; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
