If you have burning questions about raising backyard chickens, you can Ask a Poultry Farmer in person next week!

Dale is hosting one of his regular free discussions for beginners Tuesday, June 17 6:30-8:30pm at the Darien Town Hall, N2826 Foundry Rd, Darien. It's a great way to get started raising chickens, and to gather advice as you go along. The roundtable discussion is open to everyone.

The class is free, but you're asked to register here: https://apm.activecommunities.com/delavanparkrec/Activity_Search/backyard-chickens/740.

The class is made possible by the Delavan-Darien Parks and Recreation Department.

Dale Wheelock has been raising chickens, turkeys and waterfowl since he was a farm kid in the 1950s. He owns and operates the Wheelock Family Farm in Walworth County with his wife, Barb, and has been an agriculture leader in the community for decades. Read more about poultry farming at askapoultryfarmer.blogspot.com. Dale is a community blogger and is not a part of The Gazette staff.
