Offense came at a premium at Pohlman Field on Friday night.

Peoria’s Vaughn Bryan went 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in the game’s lone run on an eighth-inning triple to help the Chiefs beat the Beloit Snappers 1-0 in a Midwest League baseball game.

Beloit mustered just three hits in the loss.

Peoria’s Jimmy Reed threw seven innings, striking out four and walking one to earn his third victory.

Beloit’s Kyle Finnegan was the tough-luck loser, falling to 5-2.

Beloit opens a road series at Burlington on Saturday.
