— More than 1,000 motorcycles are expected to participate in this year's Muscular Dystrophy Association's Tub Run on Saturday.

Riders are raising money for the MDA of southwestern Wisconsin. Proceeds will be used for medical supplies, doctor bills and other things for people with muscular dystrophy and their families.

The ride will begin at noon Saturday, departing from Kutter Harley-Davidson, 3223 N. Pontiac Drive, Janesville, and arriving about 4 p.m. at Thresherman's Park in Edgerton.

Riders will proceed south on Pontiac Drive, turn east onto Ruger Avenue, turn south onto Wright Road and exit Janesville.

Janesville police expect the ride to disrupt traffic on Highway 14 and nearby roads for 30 minutes.

After the ride, events and entertainment will be held at Thresherman's Park.

Registration for the Tub Run is 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
