— Three candidates—incumbents Beth Drew and John Traynor and newcomer Louis Pins—are seeking two seats on the Milton Town Board.

Beth Drew did not respond to a Gazette request for information.

John Traynor (I)

Age: 31

Address: 11027 Highway 26, Milton.

Job: Rock County Public Works Department supervisor

Education: Graduated from Milton High School and received a bachelor’s degree from University of Iowa in 2003.

Elected posts: Has been a Milton Town Board supervisor for the past six years and is the president of Consolidated Koshkonong Sanitary District

Major campaign issues: “My biggest issue is money and trying to maintain services—upkeep of roads and buildings—while state aid continues to drop and we face rising costs and inflation.”

Louis Pins

Age: 54

Address: 9146 N. Highway 26, Milton.

Job: Materials manager at Simmons Bedding

Education: Received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Upper Iowa University in 2012.

Community service: Past board member of Rock County Children’s Community Support Network.

Elected posts: None

Major campaign issues: Present and future land use, public confidence in current board members and funding for a new fire station.
