Milton wins again

— The visiting Milton Junction Pub Raptors won a slugfest over Clyman, 12-8, Sunday in Rock River League baseball.

Milton is 6-0 in the Rock River League and 9-1 overall. The first-place Raptors hold a two-game lead over the Madison Rockers.

The Raptors rallied for five runs in the fourth inning to build a 9-3 lead. Clyman added four runs in its half of the fourth to cut the deficit to 9-7, but could never take the lead.

Milton pounded out 13 hits to defeat Clyman for the first time since joining the league. Clyman had 14 hits off Milton pitchers Tom Klawitter and Joe Shere.

The Raptors play at Farmington Saturday and host Neosho on Sunday.
