— The Milton Junction Pub Raptors edged the Madison Rockers, 5-4, in Rock River League South baseball Sunday.

Milton jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the third inning, scoring all of its runs without a hit.

The inning featured five walks, including two that forced in runs. Chris Nelson and Jeff Stone had RBI walks, and Joe Shere’s groundout drove in another run. The final run scored on a wild pitch.

The Raptors scored what proved to be the winning run in the fourth. Sean McCann and Tyler Allison led off with singles, an error loaded the bases, and Shere drew a walk to score McCann.

Milton pitchers Tom Klawitter, McCann and Shere combined on a seven-hitter.

The Raptors, who improved to 2-0 in league play and 5-0 overall, play at Watertown next Sunday.
