— The Janesville School Board re-elected Bill Sodemann as its president at a meeting Tuesday night. The vote was unanimous. No one else was nominated. This will be Sodemann's third year as president.

The board also was unanimous in re-electing Kevin Murray as vice president. Peter D. Severson was elected treasurer and Karl Dommershausen was elected clerk.

Sodemann asked Greg Ardrey to remain chairman of the finance/buildings and grounds committee and Kristin Hesselbacher to remain chairwoman of the policy, personnel and curriculum committee. Severson heads the newly re-formed legislative committee.

Ardrey corrected himself on a previously reported statement, saying he was informed that the district had performed a facilities study about 10 years ago. Ardrey said he would review that study before proceeding with a new study.

The board took no other votes of significance as two new board membersóDavid DiStefano and Deborah Schillingótook their seats for the first time.
