Janesville Public Works Director Mike Payne says Angus Young Associates is helping design renovations for the aging facility.

The first phase will include new mechanicals, including a new ice making system. Payne says Angus Young Associates could meet with user groups, as soon as this week, to talk about programming needs. An additional plan asked for by the city council, includes expanded seating and parking.

Construction on the first phase is expected to occur over next summer. Cost is expected to range from $1.3-$1.7 million.
