Janesville Parker soccer shut out

Janesville Parker’s girls soccer team fell to Oregon, 5-0, Tuesday in a nonconference match.

The host Vikings (0-2) suffered another loss before the game even started.

Parker goalkeeper Brianna Washington, who played in the season opener Friday night, had surgery on Saturday to have her appendix removed. Parker coach Amy Wargowsky said Washington will be sidelined three to four weeks.

Dani Fugate stepped in Tuesday and recorded 15 saves for the Vikings.

Oregon scored all five of its goals in the first half.

The Vikings next play at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at Lodi.
