— Police on Christmas Day arrested a Janesville man accused of ramming his vehicle into his estranged wife's car.

Police said that after a Christmas Eve argument, Michael Thurman, 49, of 2017 Purvis Ave., went looking for his estranged wife.

At 12:15 a.m. Christmas Day, he saw her 2007 Cadillac de Ville leaving a parking lot in the 200 block of West Milwaukee Street.

He followed her in his 2008 Cadillac Escalade, rear-ended her vehicle, backed up and slammed into the driver's side door, Janesville police Sgt. Aaron Ellis said.

The wife and a woman in her car suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment. Thurman was not injured, Ellis said.

Thurman fled the scene but later was arrested at his mother's home in Janesville on charges of recklessly endangering safety, domestic battery and hit-and-run causing injury, Ellis said.
