A collaborative, business building, project in Whitewater gets a new tenant. The Whitewater University Technology Park is a joint project of UW-Whitewater, the City of Whitewater, and the Whitewater Community Development Authority.

The Innovation Center in the park is still taking shape, but has a tenant planning to set up shop in February. The Jefferson Eastern Dane Interactive Network plans to lease an office space on the Innovation Center's second floor. JEDI is a distance learning-virtual classroom group serving nine Wisconsin school districts. UW-Whitewater Chancellor Richard Telfer says, because of the location, JEDI will be able to connect with the College of Education, thus enriching the learning experience for students.

Construction of the Innovation Center is expected to be completed yet this year.
