Janesville City Manager Eric Levitt expects the city council will consider another "Big Give" food drive after the success of this past weekend's effort.

Levitt says the idea flowed from a council goal setting process to assist with poverty issues in Janesville. Council members manned collection sites at five local grocery stores.

Saturday's four-hour effort collected 5400 pounds of food for the pantries at Echo and the Salvation Army.
