Janesville Parker golfers gain Big Eight split

Taylor Braun fired an 88 to lead Janesville Parker to a split in a Big Eight Conference boys golf meet Tuesday at Riverside Golf Course.

Madison West carded a 334 for the sweep, while Parker carded 356 and Madison East posted 393.

Tyler Brossard and Ron Ludwig followed Braun, carding 89 each and Charlie Grafft carded a 90 for the Vikings.

Charlie Kritter of Madison West fired an 81 to earn medalist honors.

-- Verona 327, Sun Prairie 332, Craig 339—Greg Ruef shot a 77, but the Janesville Craig boys golf team fell to both Verona and Sun Prairie in a Big Eight meet at Sun Prairie Golf Course.

“Our guys got frustrated because the greens were slower than we were used to,” said Craig coach Domanic Weigel. “It took us too long to adjust.”

Jordan Moss added a 79 for the Cougars.
