A report from the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance indicates total taxes collected in Wisconsin last year dropped by more than 12%.

Janesville Assistant City Manager Jay Winzenz says this could be a concern if it affects state shared revenues. Cities like Janesville depend on state shared revenues to help support their general budget.

Winzenz says if shared revenues are reduced, city services would need to be cut, or local property taxes increased.
