The Janesville Salvation Army is in reach of making its seasonal fund raising goal.

Captain Kirk Schuetz says the seasonal goal of $325,000 is still about $10,000 short, but an anonymous private foundation from Madison has pledged a $5000 matching grant good until Jan. 15.

Schuetz says the Christmas Eve goal may not have been met, but overall giving is higher than last year at this time.
