Myron Emanuel Paulson, age 94, passed away on Sat., May 10, 2014, at Premier Rehab in Beloit. He was born May 16, 1919, in Blanchardville, WI, the son of Lewis T. and Julia (Jeremiason) Paulson. He graduated from Orfordville High School in 1937, then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on July 8, 1941, and served until Oct. 10, 1945.Myron and Clarabelle Kehl were married on Oct. 5, 1946, at Luther Valley Church by Reverend Lewis. They celebrated 67 years of marriage. He received 4 years of vocational agriculture with the GI Bill. He purchased their farm in 1972, the year after his parents passed away. Myron was a crop farmer all his life, and did other odd jobs and worked at Beloit Corporation 10 hours a night for 11 years. He purchased a sawmill in 1950, and did custom sawing for 10 years, worked at Gunderson Motor Sales, and Allis-Chalmers Tractors and Machinery. He, then, bought a milk route, truck, and hauled milk for three years. Myron was also an avid hunter and fisherman, loved his many fishing trips to Canada, and his deer and elk hunting trips to Colorado. Myron was a veteran serving with the U.S. Air Force from July 8, 1941 to Oct. 10, 1945. He was a commander for two years, sergeant at arms for 35 years of American Legion Post #209 of which he was a life member. He and Clarabelle were honored to be chosen as parade marshals in 1999 for the June Days Celebration.

Myron was a member of Luther Valley Lutheran Church all his life, studied the sacraments for two years with Reverend Anderson, and was an usher in the church with three former pastors.

Myron is survived by his wife, Clarabelle; sons, Lonnie (Sherry)of Brodhead, Myron R. (Linda) of Beloit; grandchildren: Rachel Kiser of Beloit, Rebekah of Brodhead, Bethany (John) Beggs of Phoenix, AZ, Ally of Janesville, Caleb of  Brodhead; two great-granddaughters: Kylie Kiser and Valerie; he was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters: Arthur, Victor, Julian, Harold, Gyda, Thelma, Ethel, Margaret and Manual.

Funeral services will be held at Luther Valley Church at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, with Pastor Mae Jean Zelle officiating. Burial will be in Luther Valley Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the CHURCH from 10 AM until the time of service on Wednesday. NEWCOMER-SILVERTHORN CHAPEL ON THE HILL, ORFORDVILLE is in charge of arrangements for the family.
