Boys tennis: Big Foot wins Stoughton invite

The Big Foot boys tennis team captured the title at the Stoughton invite Saturday.

The Chiefs scored 25 points, topping Oregon by one. Milton was third with 18 points, and Parker was eighth with seven.

Seb Lauterbach captured the No. 1 singles title with a 6-4, 6-2 victory in his final match. Adam Kolnick won at No. 2 singles.

Milton’s Eric Berthiaume and Eric Grote won at No. 2 doubles.

Parker got a pair of fourth-place finishes.

“We played some great matches today,” Parker coach Mike Furhmann said. “Trey Hauger got fourth and got his first win of the year. It’s great to see him get a little confidence back.”

Parker faces Middleton in Big Eight Conference play Monday.
