Dane Grenawalt, 74, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, May 2, 2014 in his home. He was born October 21, 1939 in Monroe, WI, the son of Leroy and Mardell (Richards) Grenawalt. Dane grew up on a farm in the Orfordville area and attended a one room school house “Pioneer School” in Orfordville, WI. He married Donna M. Wyngaard on June 30, 1967 in Freeport, IL. She predeceased him on June 14, 1997. Dane was formerly employed by Yates America and retired from Interpace. He attended classes by Mr. Cha’s Tae Kwon Do and received his 3rd Degree Black Belt and was also an instructor. Dane enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, camping, Native American Pow Wow’s, rondevous, traveling, going to festivals and parades, and helping out the less fortunate.

Survivors include his son, Daniel (Karen Bowersock) Grenawalt of Beloit, WI; five daughters: Kathy (Tim) Tuttle, Donna (Kip) Gusner, Dana (Bob) Sympson, Wendy (George “Spud”) Madru and Amber (Paul) Barrows all of Beloit, WI; 16 grandchildren: Jason, Veronica, Amanda, Stephanie, Janean, Robert, Jennifer, Justin, Kaylynn, Whitney, Alex, Karissa, Sue Ellen, Chad, Sebastian, and Trinity; 15 great grandchildren and one on the way: Hunter, Austin, Dallas, Shyann, Dakota, Kory Jr., Hannah, Halas, Tristan, Tatym, Tierney, Nick, Ladina, Noah and Nevaya; sisters, Joan Graham of Janesville, WI, and Carole (Joe) Knapp of LaVonia, MI; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Valerie Melson. He was predeceased by his parents, siblings; infant sister, Deloris, Eileen Story and Lester Grenawalt, granddaughter, Danielle Grenawalt; and son-in-law Robert Sympson Sr.

Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in the DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Jason Turner officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
