BELOIT--The struggles continue for the Beloit Snappers.

Beloit lost for the sixth time in the last seven games Friday night thanks to a 5-3 setback to Quad Cities in a Midwest League game at Pohlman Field.

The Snappers outhit the River Bandits 12-9 but did not score after the fifth inning.

With the game tied 3-3, Quad Cities scored single runs in the sixth and seventh.

One of the few bright spots for Beloit continues to be the play of Boog Powell. The center fielder had four more hits Friday to raise his average to .380.

Game two of the three-game series between the teams is tonight.
