Janesville man arrested for fourth-offense OWI

JANESVILLE—Janesville police arrested a Janesville man for his fourth drunken-driving offense early Sunday.

According to a release, police arrested Jeremy T. McCarthy, 31, Janesville, after pulling him over for a vehicle equipment violation at 2:28 a.m. near East Milwaukee Street and Harmony Drive, Janesville.

Police said a breathalyzer test showed McCarthy's blood-alcohol concentration was “significantly” over the legal limit to operate a vehicle.

It was his fourth drunken driving offense. McCarthy was being held Sunday at the Rock County Jail, pending an initial court appearance.
