Snappers lose slugfest

The Beloit Snappers lost a slugfest Wednesday afternoon.

Kane County scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning in rallying for a 10-4 Midwest League win. The two teams combined for 27 hits.

Beloit took a 2-0 lead in the first and led 3-2 in the fifth before Kane County took the lead for good with two runs in the bottom of the inning.

Luis Baez had four hits for Beloit, while Boog Powell had three hits to raise his average to .352.

The two teams wrap up the four-game series tonight.
