The Great Lakes Loons had the last laugh during a back-and-forth Midwest League baseball game Wednesday night.

The Loons scored five runs in the final three innings, finished off by Malcolm Holland's run-scoring single in the top of the 10th that led to a 7-6 victory.

Beloit lost its seventh straight game when it couldn't hold a 5-2 lead down the stretch.

Alex Santana's two-run homer for Great Lakes in the eighth made it 5-4, and Jacob Scavuzzo hit another dinger in a two-run ninth to take the lead.

Snappers first baseman Ryan Huck doubled home designated hitter Ryan Mathews to knot the game at 6 in the bottom of the ninth, but the Loons answered again in the 10th.

Mathews hit his second home run of the year earlier in the game and finished 3-for-5 at the plate.

The Snappers open a home series with the Lansing Lugnuts tonight at 6:30 p.m.
