WHITEWATER—Mouh Seguir Hammoutene, 43, of San Antonio, Texas, and Kenneth Paul, 52, of Milwaukee were the drivers involved in a crash Monday afternoon at Highway 12 and Walworth Avenue, according to a Walworth County Sheriff's Office news release.

Paul sustained serious chest injuries and was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

His passenger, David D. Williams, 33, of Milwaukee sustained severe lower leg and chest injuries and also was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

Their conditions are not known at this time.

Hammoutene was not hurt.

While both drivers had a green light to proceed straight through the intersection, the investigation shows Hammoutene failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic while attempting to make a left-hand turn. He was cited for the infraction.

The Walworth County Sheriff's Crash Investigation Unit and Truck Inspector, along with Whitewater police, Wisconsin State Patrol and Whitewater fire and rescue members, assisted at the scene. The road was closed to traffic for three hours during the investigation.
