BELOIT--The offense stalled Thursday night for the Beloit Snappers in the season opener.

Mike Fish had three hits, including two doubles, to lead the Burlington Bees to a 5-1 Midwest League win over the Snappers at Pohlman Field.

Beloit fell behind 3-0 in the top of the third and could not recover.

Kody Eaves tripled to begin the game and scored on Mark Shannon’s ground out.

Beloit got its only run in the third inning on Chih Fang Pan’s RBI double.

Janesville Craig graduate Trevor Foss is on the Burlington roster but did not pitch in the game.

Game two of the four game-series is Friday.
