July 9, 1930 - March 25, 2014

Tom Nimmo (aka O.T; Bud) was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. He was born on July 9, 1930, in Cambridge, WI, the fifth son of Julia (Himle) and Orvin E. Nimmo. He married Evelyn Phelps on April 18, 1953, and together they raised five children. Tom was always ready with a joke, usually politically incorrect! He was enormously proud of his personal fitness (just ask him!) and worked out until two weeks before his death. Those who knew him know he took great pride in his yard and loved gardening. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He operated his own business of financial planning and leasing for over 30 years. His children fondly recall their hunting excursions, his numerous stories, and his sense of humor. Tom was a confidante and friend.

Tom is survived by Evelyn, his wife of 61 years; four sons: Michael O. (Lori) Nimmo of Janesville, Dr. Eric (Lea) Nimmo of Wasilla, AK, Timothy (Jenn) Nimmo of Loveland, CO, and Corey (Tammy) Nimmo of Janesville; his daughter, Kathleen (Chip) Hogan of Beloit, WI; and stepdaughter, Rhonda (Jim) Mataczynski of Holcombe, WI; special "son", Lynn Burnell of The Village, FL; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Elmer of Evansville, WI, and Eleanor (Clyde) Rhodes of Barron, WI, He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and four brothers.

A MEMORIAL CELEBRATION will be held at home: 2002 Mineral Point Avenue, Janesville, WI from 12 until 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014. There will be an informal service at 3 p.m.
