It should be no surprise that the best players in Rock Valley Conference boys and girls basketball this season were on the best teams.

The four player of the year honorees led their teams to conference titles.

Heading the list is Carly Mohns of Brodhead. The senior and University of Iowa recruit is the Rock Valley South girls player of the year. The 6-foot-1 Mohns averaged 17.7 points and 10.1 rebounds per game in leading the Cardinals to an unbeaten regular season and the program’s first-ever berth in the WIAA Division 3 state tournament.

Brooke Trewyn, Whitewater’s all-time leading scorer, is the Rock Valley North player of the year. The 5-11 senior averaged 15.2 points per game and had a conference-high 36 in a win over Jefferson.

Edgerton’s Adam Converse is the Rock Valley North boys player of the year. The 6-6 senior center averaged 10.1 points and 7 rebounds per game while helping the Crimson Tide win a conference title.

Garrett Reinhardt, a 6-6 forward from Orfordville Parkview, is the Rock Valley South player of the year. The senior averaged 15 points per game and helped the Vikings win their first conference title since 1966.
