ELKHORN--Three Elkhorn teens accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in an Elkhorn basement are free on signature bonds pending their next court appearances.

Charged with sexual assault of a child younger than 16 are:

-- Braden D. Mann, 18, of W5244 County ES, Elkhorn.

-- Gage A. Timmer, 18, of 433 W. Court St., Elkhorn.

-- Nicholas T. Cook, 18, of 408 W. Centralia St., Elkhorn.

The 14-year-old girl told an Elkhorn police detective the assault happened Dec. 21 in the basement of Cook's home, according to one of the criminal complaints charging the three.

Cook and Timmer admitted having sexual contact with the girl in the basement that day, according to the criminal complaint.

Mann told the detective he was in the basement with the girl, too. He didn't know for sure if he had sexual contact with her, but if he did, "he made her stop," according to the complaint.

The criminal complaints were filed Feb. 10 and 11.

Walworth County District Attorney Daniel Necci declined to comment further about the cases Monday.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled for all three defendants--Friday for Timmer and Friday, March 7, for Mann and Cook.
