A local ray of sunshine has been dimmed… Glenna J. (Douglas) Miller, age 88, of Janesville, passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Ionia, MI, on April 19, 1925, the daughter of Roy and Louise (Miller) Douglas. She grew up with four siblings during the Depression which created a strong work ethic. Miller while they were playing in the marching band. They married on Aug. 22, 1945, and eventually moved to Wisconsin. Glenna worked for both Rock County, and eventually the Janesville School District, as a speech and language clinician. She retired in 1981. After her husband died in 1993, she branched out to become a USTA official and at the age of 79, became a Master Gardener. She was an avid sports spectator, gardener, voracious reader and loved playing cards.
