JANESVILLE—Both northbound lanes of Interstate 90/39 north of East Racine Street in Janesville were blocked Tuesday morning because of a crash.

The crash was reported at 10:37 a.m. Tuesday. The Wisconsin State Patrol estimated the lanes would be closed for two hours. The Janesville Fire Department and Wisconsin State Patrol troopers responded to the scene.

It was the second crash on the Interstate in Janesville on Tuesday morning. The northbound on-ramp from Highway 26 onto Interstate 90/39 was closed following an accident at about 7:55 a.m.

A semitrailer tractor and its trailer became separated in an accident near the interchange, the State Patrol reported. At 8:55 a.m., a traffic camera indicated the semi had been pushed onto the median, and traffic was beginning to flow.

Janesville firefighters responded to that incident as well.
