Fury lose after allowing four unanswered goals

Baraboo scored four straight goals in the final 19 minutes on Friday night to beat the Rock County Fury.

The Fury, the area's girls co-op high school hockey team saw a second-period lead evaporate in a 6-3 loss.

“There were times tonight where we looked like an awesome team and times we looked like novices,” Rock County coach Darrel Moore said.

The Fury trailed 2-1 after one but tied the game on Jessica Jerome's goal early in the second. Morgan Jones scored at 7:28 of the second to give Rock County its first lead at 3-2.

But Kathryn Vanderschaf grabbed her second goal of the game at 15:00 and added another 90 seconds later to give Baraboo the lead for good. Vanderschaf finished with four goals and an assist.

The Fury play today at 2:30 p.m. at the Janesville Ice Arena.
