Grand Geneva Resort to host Wisconsin Governor's Conference on Tourism in March

LAKE GENEVA — The Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva will host the annual Wisconsin Governor's Conference on Tourism in March.

The event Sunday, March 2, through Tuesday, March 4, is an opportunity for people in the Wisconsin tourism industry to network and learn how to grow their businesses.

Governor Scott Walker, Green Bay Packer Jordy Nelson and international tourism expert Roger Brooks will be in attendance.

The conference will include a keynote presentation about the importance of arts, culture and tourism with keynote speaker Robert Lynch, president and CEO of Americans for the Arts. Jim Knight, former senior director of training and development from Hard Rock International, will present about the importance of customer service.

Gov. Walker will present the Governor's Tourism Awards Tuesday, March 4, at a dinner. The awards recognize people and organizations that have made a large impact on Wisconsin's tourism industry.

Nominations will be accepted through Friday, Jan. 17.
