MADISON--Janesville Parker’s boys basketball team has fallen on hard times.

The Vikings lost their third straight Friday night as Madison East pulled away early in a 67-31 Big Eight Conference win.

Parker (2-6, 1-5) trailed 20-8 after one quarter and 34-16 at half.

“We’re just not playing very well right now,” Parker coach Ryan Masterson said. “As well as we played early in the season, we’ve really struggled, especially on the offensive end, the last couple of games.

“I can’t fault our effort because we continue to play hard. The problem is we’ve fallen behind right away the last two games and can’t recover. We just don’t have any rhythmn on offense.”

Senior point guard Adam Thompson led the Vikings with 10 points.

Parker plays a nonconference game at Beaver Dam at 1 p.m. today. The game was originally scheduled for 7 p.m. but was moved to the afternoon due to the winter storm watch for the area.
