Rock County


— A 16-YEAR-OLD JANESVILLE BOY at 11:45 a.m. Thursday at Craig High School, 401 S. Randall Ave., on a charge of a possession of a dangerous weapon. The boy was seen displaying a knife outside the school. He had a 3.5-inch blade in his waistband. An 11-inch survival knife and a 6-inch stainless steel blade were found in his backpack. The boy was suspended from school and released to his grandmother.

Intoxicated driving arrests

— BRADEN T. MCINTOSH, 23, of 2137 S. Palm St., Janesville, at 2:52 a.m. Saturday, at Grand and Center avenues, Janesville.


— VANDALISM reported at 8:07 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's School, 305 Lincoln St., Janesville. Eight windows on the north side of the school had been broken.

Injury accidents

— ROOSEVELT AND GARDEN DRIVE, Janesville, at 6:23 p.m. Thursday. A car driven by Robert Spors, 29, of 1602 Lapham St., Janesville, hit a vehicle driven by Ignacio Cortez, 29, Beloit, forcing Cortez's vehicle into a stop sign. Spors was cited for inattentive driving and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. Cortez was cited for operating without a valid driver's license and operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
