Milton junior Maddie McCue, who finished 11th in the Division 1 state girls golf tournament earlier this month, was named third-team all-state by the Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin this week.

McCue, the reigning Rock County women’s champion, is a three-time state qualifier.

Joining McCue as postseason honorees were three Janesville Parker golfers and one of McCue’s Milton teammates.

Parker, which qualified for state as a team for the second time in program history, had three players named honorable mention all-state—senior captains Taylor Wyss and Micayla Richards and junior Kailey McDade.

Milton sophomore CheyAnn Knudsen, who competed all year on a torn ACL in her knee, was also named honorable mention.

Verona’s Jessica Reinecke, who won the Division 1 individual title, was named the state’s Player of the Year.
