Funeral services, memorial fund announced for Milton police Lt. Conger

MILTON—Milton officials and the Bank of Milton have announced funeral services and a memorial fund for Milton Police Lt. John D. Conger, who died Sunday in Janesville.

The Bank of Milton announced Tuesday that memorial fund has been established for the family of Conger, 43, who was a 21-year veteran of the Milton Police Department. Donations can be mailed or dropped off to the Bank of Milton, 323 Parkview Drive, PO Box 217, Milton, WI  53563.

The Milton Police Department announced funeral services for Conger are at 7 p.m. on Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Milton. A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of services Friday at the Church. Burial services will be private.

Conger's colleagues at the police department say they will remember Conger for his diligence and dedication to community outreach programs, particularly in the area of youth safety and youth bullying education and prevention.
