BIFF to present student workshops

Beloit International Film Festival will present seven free film workshops for students in grades six through 12 at the Beloit and Hedberg public libraries.

The workshops will teach students how to create a film from script to screen. Participants also will have the opportunity to make a film that can be submitted for review and recognition at the BIFF 2014 Student Filmmakers Showcase.

Workshops will take place from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays, Nov. 9, 16, 23 and 30 at Beloit Public Library, 605 Eclipse Blvd., Beloit, and from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 13, 20 and 27 at Hedberg Public Library, 316 S. Main St., Janesville.
