Class to teach stained glass basics

JANESVILLE-The office of Continuing Education at UW-Rock County is offering a noncredit class for adults and high school students to learn the basics of stained glass work.

The class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays from Oct. 14 through Nov. 18 in the Wells Cultural Center on campus, 2909 Kellogg Ave.

Instructor Richard Snyder will cover the use of copper foil for stained glass instruction, glass cutting and grinding, proper use of tools, pattern tracing and transfer onto glass and the soldering and assembly of pieces into a completed project.
