JASON P. PEARSON, 31, of 2517 Robinson Drive, Beloit, at 9:22 p.m. Aug. 19 at 3106 W. County A, Janesville, on a charge of mistreating an animal. Authorities say Pearson tried to euthanize his dog Gunnar, but the dog survived two gunshots to the head. The dog ran and hid in a truck, and a police report said Pearson was afraid to move the dog from the truck. The dog suffered from the gunshot wounds for more than two hours until a deputy was able to properly euthanize it.

ROBERT J. MASECH, 30, of 2320 King St., Janesville, at 1:04 a.m. Tuesday at Franklin Street and Rockport Road, Janesville on three counts of manufacturing/delivering cocaine.

DESHAWN A. FOREMAN, 17, of 411 S. Main St., Apt. A, Janesville, at 10:04 p.m. Monday at 2002 E. Milwaukee St., Janesville, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to delivery marijuana and resisting/obstructing an officer.


COUNTY E SOUTH OF WEST RIVER ROAD, TOWN OF JANESVILLE, at 10:08 p.m. Aug. 17. A vehicle driven by David A. Williams, 42, of 950 Sherman Ave., Janesville, was northbound on a curve when an oncoming vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the rear driver's side of Williams' vehicle, which struck a guardrail. The oncoming car did not stop and continued southbound. Williams was treated at an area hospital.

HIGHWAY 14 AT LEXINGTON DRIVE, JANESVILLE, at 7:02 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19. A pickup truck driven by Michael J. Jasinski, 46, of 2841 Mineral Point Ave., Janesville, collided in the intersection with a minivan driven by Crystal G. Monyak, 30, of 1416 Roosevelt Ave., Beloit. Monyak was treated and released at St. Mary's Janesville Hospital. Jasinski was cited for failure to yield the right of way while turning.


WASTE CONTAINER FIRE at 5:08 a.m. Tuesday in the bathroom of the Janesville bus terminal, 123 S. River St. The fire, which caused no structure damage, remains under investigation.
