Danny Roberts helps Rock County Rage set up showdown

Danny Roberts made the most of seven pass completions and three rushing attempts as the Rock County Rage set up an Ironman Football League showdown next weekend with a 55-0 victory over Jefferson on Saturday night.

The Rage (7-0) take on the Milwaukee Hurricanes (7-0) at 6 p.m. next Saturday at Milton High School.

Roberts, a Milton High graduate, took care of things Saturday night against Jefferson. Roberts completed 7 of 9 passes for 230 yards and five touchdowns and rushed three times for 129 yards and two other touchdowns.

Roberts threw two touchdown passes to Michael Heffner covering 11 and 34 yards, and threw one TD each to Jake Schlegale (48 yards), Jermar Ayers (81) and Kyler Johnson (46).

Roberts' scoring runs covered 88 and 30 yards.

Jarddo Copper had 36 yards rushing, including a 16-yard TD run.

Greg Davis and Nick Hammon led the defensive charge with three sacks each. Justin Vance and Cordell Dixon each had one sack.

Everett Rogers had two interceptions, while Nate Wallman and Titus Jackson each had one.
