Delta Kappa Gamma-Sigma State sponsors an annual fiction writing contest for students in grades 3-12. There were 122 local entries in this competition, with student entries from Janesville, Milton, Edgerton and Evansville public schools.

Members of Alpha Iota Chapter would like to thank educators and families for encouraging the young writers who participated in the local book writing contest.

Special thanks to Cracker Barrel for coupons given to students who submitted books, JAX printing for preparing the reception bulletins, Book World for encouraging writers when they come into the store to redeem gift cards, The Janesville Gazette, Milton Courier, Edgerton Reporter and The Messenger for publishing articles about competition.

Thank you to all who judged the books (retired teachers), helped with the reception at Kennedy Elementary School, custodial staff, educators, and families who attended the reception honoring these young writers. We appreciate the encouragement given to promote writing and literacy.
