Janette and James Soddy

JANESVILLE—Janette and James Soddy will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner in late October.

James Soddy and Janette Black were married Nov. 22, 1952, at St. John’s E and R Church, Monroe.

He retired from AT&T in 1992 and also retired from the Wisconsin Air National Guard. She retired from Rock County Emergency Management in 1992 and had previously worked many years at the Rock County District Attorney’s office. They are both graduates of Monroe High School.

Their family includes Steve Soddy, Solon Springs; Judy (Randy) Fitzmaurice, Andrews, Indiana; and Dave (Tammy) Soddy, Milton. They also have seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
