JANESVILLE — Police arrested a Janesville man early Thursday for fifth-offense operating while intoxicated, according to a Janesville Police Department news release.
According to the release:
Scott A. Ruud, 52, of 4226 N. West Rotamer Road, was arrested after an officer saw him driving northbound on Milton Avenue weaving in and out of the lane multiple times at 2:05 a.m. Thursday. The car also had a defective brake light.
The officer stopping the car reported that Ruud smelled of intoxicants, his coordination appeared impaired and he admitted to drinking. Ruud refused field sobriety and breath tests. A blood sample was taken, but results are unknown.
Ruud was taken to the Rock County Jail where he is being held pending his court appearance.
